Venice Louisiana Fishing Calendar

One of the most asked questions on fishing forums about fishing in Venice Louisiana is “When’s The Best Time To Catch Fish?”

Captain Brandon Keck of Southern Fly Expeditions says “Well, when can you get here?”

Most of the forums state that all year is pretty good for big fish. And the fall and winter months usually have a better chance to pick up some 150 pound plus big game fish. Game & Fish has an outstanding website with lots of data. But, here are some highlights to get you going.

Experts on other websites usually talk about May thru August being the time you’ll get a 40 to 100 pound fish on your line.

Warm months usually bring around Tuna…sorry Charlie! Dolphin is best between May and July with Wahoo around December through March. Grouper will show up best during the months of January through June.

Snapper is the tricky ones since they have a lot of state and federal restrictions on how many, what size and when you can fish for them.

Venice Louisiana Fishing Charter Reviews

Sometimes it’s best to hear how good something is “straight from the fishes mouth”. Check Out these reviews from Google users that have used some of the Venice Louisiana fishing charters in the past.

Intensity Offshore Outfitters gave us a once in a life time fishing experience! Coordinating our trip was simple and they catered to exactly what we traveled to Louisiana for. The boat was beautiful and crew was very knowledgeable. As someone who has maybe fished twice in my life and was dragged into boys fishing trip can say I will definitely be back. We were catching fish faster than any other boat in the area. HIGHLY SUGGEST TUNA FISHING WITH ZACH AND HIS CREW!

Had a great time fishing with my friend Louis, AKA Capt. Rok.We headed out around 8 am or so for an awesome day on the water. Five limits of reds and a few other species of fish plus we caught and released bull reds till our arms were hurting and back at the camp for 1130/1145. If you want to experience the trip of a lifetime, give this guy a call. You will have a great time!!! Oh and don’t forget to ask him to tell you some of his dive stories!!! Venice Guide Services #1
