What’s Snapping At Gulf Coast Gator Ranch & Tours

gulf coast gator ranch tour moss point mississippi

Along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi at the northern end of the Gulf of Mexico is some of the most interesting and dangerous wild life known to man. …Well, at least that’s what us Southerns tell ourselves.

The Gulf Coast Gator Ranch & Tours is located on Highway 90 just East of the Orange Grove community and West of Grand Bay, AL. They offer airboat tours, as well as, walking tours that highlight the different sizes, shapes and developmental stages of alligators in the Southern Mississippi area.

Gulf Coast Gator Ranch In Moss Point Mississippi

Located in Moss Point, MS at 10300 US Highway 90, the Gulf Coast Gator Ranch & Tours is an amazing place.

One of the best things that the Ranch offers is being able to hold and touch the alligators. They are small and with their mouths secured with rubber bands, safe for even the smallest of curious minds.

They also have what is called a mini-zoo of alligators (usually a collection of trouble makers that are caught after being captured locally. A chain-link fence separates you and the gators and allows you and the little ones opportunities to look at and even take some pictures (on the safe side of the fence of course).

Airboat Swamp Tours

But the best adventure is yet to come…

That is if you are brave enough to get on one of the powerful airboats and venture off into the swamps of southern Mississippi to see how the WILD GATORS live.

Captain Sam is very knowledgeable when it comes to the American Alligator and is a pretty nifty airboat operator too.

He’ll show you how the vehicle handles…whether you like it or not…in the wild outback of the alligators. Complete with ‘donuts’ done on the water, this experience is sure to excite and satisfy.

Captain Frog is a pretty inept driver as well and loves to show off his moves. He’ll get you setup with ear protection and life vest then off you will go.

Gulf Coast Gator Ranch Reviews

We spoke with Ashton and Sam the most and they were very informative and in love with their jobs! It was great to see! The walk was a little short but still awesome with many things to see. Ashton was very helpful and informative about the alligators during the walk and was a pleasant young man to talk to. Captain Sam handled our airboat very well and was very knowledgeable about our surroundings. Will be back if we are ever in the area again!

See and feed wild and captive gators. The staff here are amazing and you can even hold a gator! The boat tours look awesome, but we have a baby so we couldn’t do it. We will definitely be back here some time soon.

We visited here on vacation and had so much fun! Our guide was awesome (I don’t remember his name but he was fairly tall and skinny). Definitely go here if you are in the area. It won’t disappoint!
