El Papi: Fantastico Happy Hour And Mexican Cuisine Menu In Mobile Alabama

Where can you find excellent Mexican cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients, outstanding cocktails and an outdoor atmosphere?

El Papi in downtown Mobile Alabama is a favorite with the locals and serves Mexican, Latin and Spanish cuisines sourced from local ingredients.  Enjoy their handcrafted cocktails and drinks during your meal or join them between 4-6pm every day for happy hour.

Located at 615 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL just to the South of Wintzell’s Oyster House in the Central Business District on the south side of Dauphin Street, is El Papi or “The Daddy” restaurant.

When Do They Serve – Hours of Operation?

Lunch is served every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 4pm.  Dinner is from 4pm to 10pm Tuesday through Sunday.

Bar hours extend to midnight every Friday and Saturday nights.

And of course, Happy Hour is 4pm to 6pm every day.

What Is the Busiest Times?

You can find lots of customers between 6pm and 9pm everyday they are open

El Papi provides indoor as well as outdoor seating with wheelchair accessible entrances and high chairs for children.  Their atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and casual.  One-on-one, family or group accommodations are welcomed.

El Papi Menu In Mobile AL

The “Cocina” (or kitchen) serves up about 8 different appetizers.  From the El Papi’s Trio that consists of tortilla chips, salsa roja, chile con queso and quacamole, to the Paper Bag Wings.  Marinated and deep fried then Valentina-shaken right at your table.

The Specials consist of Burrito Especial which comes in a choice of ground beef, Carnitas (braised or roasted pork), Carne asada (grilled steak), Tinga de pollo (Chicken in chipotle sauce), Camarones (shrimp) or Calabacitas.  All meals are home made from scratch using fresh ingredients from recipes born from the family kitchens of the owners.

Puffy Tacos, El Papi’s Bowl, Chile Relleno, Quesadilla Plato and as always, Fajitas in grilled steak, chicken, shrimp or fish options.

The tacos are traditional street tacos house made with corn tortilla with options like chipotle-braised pulled chicken, marinated grilled steak, ground spiced sausage, braised beef cheek, seasoned ground beef, pork shoulder and fried gulf shrimp or fish.

Esnaladas, Tacos with Elote, Frijoles Refritos, Arroz Rojo, Esquites and Chiles Toreados as side dishes.

The desserts are Churros and Rosa’s Especial which is a dessert of the day.

El Papi serves Mexican Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Iced Tea, Jarritos, Mandarin, Guava and Tamarind.
